Part of the bike-way went through forest, but not much. It was about a 10-mile bike ride to get there. A Chinese tower that was along the way. This would make for the ultimate egg-roll restaurant. Artist depiction of Walhalla, dated way back when. This is a pic from the front that we took later on our bike trek. When we visited, the front deck and steps were off limits due to restoration. Unless you come from the river, this is the first sight of Walhalla. Like most other interesting buildings, this one is also under restoration. Walking around the back...notice the detailed men at the top. Huge stone pillars! This structure is supposed to be an exact replica of the one in Greece. (Except that one is in ruins.) Walhalla is handicapped accessible. The little ant with the sunglasses is really Margit. The building is huge! You really don't want to run and slip at the end. Trust me. We got hungry waiting for a Norse god (or fallen hero) to show up, so we had a quick snack. Nice view up here. Look up. That even looks nice. Here's another pic (from the web), showing the inside. The interior had scaffolds all inside it (yea, restoration there too). Some nice looking boulders on a semi-mountain/hill on the way back home.
